TGI 615 – Crofton and the Crimson Diamond
Crofton from the Dungeons and Diapers podcast returns to the inn to question our intro and talk about his various video game adventures. He kicks things off with The Crimson Diamond, a throw back game to the EGA era. After a year and a half, Ryan finally jumps into Diablo IV on Xbox Game Pass. And before we hit up the news, Crofton travels to New Caledonia with Tchia. In the news, Nintendo will be ending service for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp in October, Nintendo clears their Direct schedule with an IndieWorld + Partner Showcase combo, we have a new Mafia game arriving in 2025, and we have our first look at Sonic the Hedgehog 3!
TGI 614 – Don’t Go Building Castles Y’all
While determining what to play next, Ryan is distracted by the latest mobile offering from Bethesda with Elder Scrolls: Castles. Jocelyn on the other hand continues her farming adventures in Coral Island. Over in the news Valve confirms they’ll be getting Steam OS running on the ROG Ally, Final Fantasy 16 has a date with the PC, Nintendo shows off their new museum, and our favourite announcements from GamesCom Opening Night Live.
TGI 613 – The Thing On An Oil Rig
We kick off the show with spoiler free thoughts on Deadpool and Wolverine, as well as Jocelyn guesting on TWO podcasts (Bread and Butter for Hearthstone and For Azeroth for World of Warcraft). Moving into games we played, Ryan has an update on his time with Outer Wilds for TGI Game Club, and he finally finished a game with Still Wakes The Deep. Jocelyn on the other hand has a news story about a Sea of Thieves exploit that put some major gold into the economy.
TGI 612 – Remember Your Sushi Friends
After a bit of MCU talk as Jocelyn and Ryan prepare to see Deadpool and Wolverine, we get an update on the latest TGI Game Club game Outer Wilds. Now’s the perfect time to play along with our amazing Game Club guides! Jocelyn on the other hand is avoiding space with Rolling Hills: Make Sushi, Make Friends on Xbox Game Pass. Over in the news, the union stories keep coming with the World of Warcraft team announcing a full team union, video game voice actors go on strike, Humble Games uses the wrong word for laying off all staff, and LEGO has more Super Mario for fans.
TGI 611 – Season of Vacation Expansions
After getting lost within the intro rabbit hole, we move over to discussing Ryan’s continued adventures in Zenless Zone Zero. Jocelyn updates us on the recently released Hearthstone expansion, Perils in Paradise. Before moving to the news, Ryan still has his Wii U hooked up and played The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD. Over in the news Deadpool and Wolverine bring us Deadpool and Wolverine Xbox controllers with butts, Orcs Must Die returns in 2025 with a new entry, Halo is cancelled at Paramount+, and Bethesda developers unionize! We close the show with a listener email about rogue-like/lights and Hearthstone Battlegrounds.
TGI 610 – Zoneless Zumba Zellers
We kick off the show with some thoughts on the TETRIS movie available on Apple TV+, then Ryan shares first impressions on Zenless Zone Zero. Jocelyn on the other hand has returned to World of Warcraft for a Mists of Pandaria event. Before moving to the news, as promised, we discuss Have a Nice Death. Good news is Jocelyn is out of her city building funk! Bad news is roguelikes still aren’t for her. In the news we have fresh stories on AI from Nvidia and Nintendo, as well as Microsoft’s changes to their Xbox Game Pass program.
TGI 609 – WHAT THE Delay?
Let’s get this out of the way right away, Ryan cancelled his PRE-ORDERS for the NES Championship thing. You’re welcome. Now, as we head into the show proper after a long weekend in Canada keep both innkeepers are busy as Ryan chats about the Apple Arcade game WHAT THE CAR? and Jocelyn gets a bit of city builder burnout with Fabledom. Moving into the news, Frostpunk 2 has been delayed until September, Nintendo swears they’ll have enough Switch Successor stock at launch, Steam shares some interesting controller data, and Nintendo sues some more.
TGI 608 – Sphere of Gods Simulator
Ryan and Jocelyn check out the new God simulator Reus 2, which proves to be a more complex game than it appears at first launch. Then we would normally move to the news, but this week we decided to have a topic discussion! How did we get into gaming you ask? Well now it’s time to find out!
TGI 607 – Many Notes, Also No Notes
Jocelyn completes her notebook filled journey through Lorelei and the Laser Eyes. After that we deep dive into the June Nintendo Direct which featured new Mario, new Zelda, and the return of Metroid Prime 4! We also discuss the possibility of a handheld Xbox experience and Arcane getting a second and final season this November on Netflix.
TGI 606 – The Ghost of E3 2024
We have a news filled episode this week as we go over all the announcements during The Ghost of E3! We kick things off with the Geoff Keighley led Summer Game Fest, then move over to the PC Gaming Show. Before the break, we focus in on BioWare’s reveal of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. Wrapping up the show, we check in on the Xbox Games Showcase, including Phil Spencer’s answer to the recent layoffs and shutdowns at his studios. Finally, we close out the show with a few thoughts on Ubisoft Forward.
