With Extra Life Game Day 2024 behind us, it’s time to recap our awesome 12 hour stream! We go over our time in Fortnite, Dead by Daylight, and Sea of Thieves from our November 2nd event. After our Extra Life chatter, Ryan wraps up his time with Alan Wake II after completing The Lake House DLC (not to be confused with the movie). Plus, we kick off our Dragon Age: The Veilguard content as both Ryan and Jocelyn take their first steps in this new BioWare adventure. In the news, Microsoft says Call of Duty helped add a record number of subscribers to Game Pass, Nintendo continues to not announce the Switch 2 with the Nintendo Music app, and Nintendo teases a few details about the Switch Successor which is still set to be revealed before this end of fiscal (April 2025).

Extra Life Game Day is just around the corner, but we manage to squeeze in a new episode with our hype for the upcoming Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Ryan’s continuing adventures in Alan Wake II with the Lake House DLC. Over in the news, Ubisoft disbands the Lost Crown team and moves them to other projects, Sony closes Concord studio and cancels game, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp lives on, and Xenoblade Chronicles X may just be the sunset for Nintendo Switch.

After a false start, The Gamers’ Inn regains it’s footing a little later in the week to discuss Jocelyn’s new found obsession in Fortnite, while Ryan recaps his AvenDaDs Extra Life event and his descent into madness with Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut. Over in the news, Xbox hosted a Partner Showcase, Vampire Survivors says the quiet part out loud with it’s Ode to Castlevania DLC, that Nintendo play test leaked IMMEDIATELY, and Netflix shuts down it’s AAA game studio before it has a chance to release a game.

Ryan returns to Diablo IV for the Vessel of Hatred expansion, with thoughts on completing the main campaign and first impressions on the new content including the Spiritborn class, Mercenaries and his first steps into Seasonal content. Over in the news, Nintendo announces an alarm clock, then a few days later sets up a mysterious Nintendo Switch Online test, Xbox will start selling Xbox games in their Xbox app on Android, and we have our first look at Sunderfolk from Secret Door and Dreamhaven.

We return to Frostpunk 2 and tackle the Utopia Mode, which is a form of a sandbox mode for the game. Moving into the news, filming on the Until Dawn film has wrapped, Halo Studios promises new Halo experiences, Ubisoft acknowledges buyout talks, and an Alien Isolation sequel is in the works.

After some Game of the Year musings, we move into Space Marine 2 and all the Warhammer confusion (for us at least) that comes with it. Jocelyn has also returned to World of Warcraft raiding with The War Within expansion. In the news, Horizon 3 may be farther away than most hope, the next The Sims game is not the Project Rene we initially saw, Hi-Rez Studios lays off staff after less than stellar launch of Smite 2, and Nintendo shuts down another Switch emulator.

Over in the news Steam launches Steam Families out of beta, a 14 year old developer is caught up in a video game addiction lawsuit, Square Enix says the line, and Nintendo sues Palworld dev for patent infringements.

Travis returns to the Inn for a very PlayStation episode of The Gamers’ Inn. Ryan has finally finished Final Fantasy XVI and shares final (spoiler free) thoughts before the PC release next week. Travis has been loving the well received Astro Bot. Plus in the news Sony gave us a first look and details for the PlayStation 5 Pro. Oh, and Arcane got a season 2 trailer!

In the news, Remedy partners with Annapurna for Control 2, Rocksteady hit with layoffs, Concord is soon to be no more, and we talk about THAT Minecraft movie teaser.
