Moving over to the news, Dynamo Pictures will evolve into Nintendo Pictures after being acquired, and PlayStation to launch their own loyalty program to catch up with Xbox and Nintendo.
TGI 524 – The Quarry Story Time
We kick off the show to wish Jocelyn a happy birthday (which is the date of posting if you’re listening day one). Then Ryan catches up on a five year old gem, Hollow Knight. Wrapping up our games conversation, Jocelyn checked out The Quarry. In the news, SEGA announces the Genesis Mini 2, Blizzard puts Heroes of the Storm in maintenance mode, Nintendo and LEGO unveil a very expensive Bowser set, and Ubisoft re-reveals Skull and Bones.
TGI 523 – Whale Proof Rafts in 1.0
Jocelyn dodges whales for the launch of Raft 1.0, while Ryan wraps up the first TGI Game Club. Speaking of Game Club, if you have suggestions for our next game, be sure to drop them into our Game Club channel in Discord soon! We have a lighter section on the games we played this week, but make up for it with video game news. First up, a Nintendo fan purchased a good chunk of Nintendo stock to ask a question at an investor’s meeting, She-Hulk may be the next hero to arrive in Marvel’s Avengers, Sony confirms God of War Ragnarok will launch in November, and Xbox 360 games will no longer be included in Games with Gold starting in October. Closing out the show, we go over a list of the most backlogged video games according to How Long To Beat.
TGI 522 – Three Hopes for Fódlan
EA pushes Jocelyn to return to Nobody Saves The World, which brings up the discussion of New Game Plus. While Ryan returns to Fódlan for Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. In the news, Nintendo delivers a Direct Mini focusing on third party titles coming to Nintendo Switch, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 gets a dedicated Nintendo Direct as well.
TGI 521 – Lost in EA Support Chats
We kick off the show with a classic segment known as EA is not great, as Jocelyn recounts her time with EA Chat Support to try and access Lost in Random on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on PC. Afterwards, we discuss our thoughts on the game Lost in Random, moving away from our EA woes. Next up, Ryan played some TMNT Shredder’s Revenge, while Jocelyn continues to enjoy Marvel Snap. Moving into the news, Square Enix has announced when to expect the second part to the Final Fantasy VII Remake project, and Tony Hawk himself confirms Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 was planned but is now in limbo.
TGI 520 – You’re A Humanity
What’s this, another extra long TGI because of the Ghost of E3? It’s true! We start off with Ryan’s final thoughts on season 1 of the Halo TV series, then move in to the Xbox + Bethesda 2022 Showcase. There’s a lot to break down from Xbox, but we leave some time to chat about the Capcom Showcase as well.
TGI 519 – Microtransactions From Hell
We’re a bit late this week as we adjusted our schedule for Summer Games Fest, but we’ve got thoughts to share on Diablo Immortal and Marvel Snap! Moving to the news, we couldn’t resist diving into the recent reports about the Horizon TV show, we catch up on the latest State of Play from PlayStation, and go over all the goodies unveiled at the Summer Games Fest showcase. Finally, we close the show with some quick thoughts on the Netflix Geeked announcements, which include a Dragon Age anime.
TGI 518 – Ready Your Random Rogues
Jocelyn returns to the inn this week, with Ryan sharing his adventures in Rogue Legacy 2 and the latest additions to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass. Complete with wireless N64 controller nostalgia! Moving into the news, we made sure to save the Dead by Daylight Dating Sim story for Joce, plus Xbox is looking to enter the streaming dongle business. Oh, and Star Wars Celebration gives us a glimpse at Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
TGI 517 – An Extra Life for Elden Ring
Travis is back on the show this week to chat about his adventures with the Spider-Man Remaster on PlayStation 5, as well as his plans for Extra Life with Elden Ring. We’re kicking off Extra Life earlier this year, with the team page up and Travis starting his streams in June. Make sure you tune in! Also, Ryan is late to the party, but he’s finally finished Guardians of the Galaxy. Moving into the news, we chat about the announcement of Marvel Snap, and more details emerge for the new PlayStation Plus offerings.
TGI 516 – The VR Dungeons of Demeo
Crofton Steers of Dungeons & Diapers fame is our guest co-host this week, as Jocelyn will be away for a few more episodes. Ryan finally enjoys the chore of unpacking with Unpacking on Xbox Game Pass, which leads into a chat about playing smaller titles in between larger ones. This conversation brings up some thoughts on Guardians of the Galaxy, which we’ll have more in a future episode as Ryan is nearly finished the action adventure game. Wrapping up what we’re playing, Crofton goes over the fun he had playing Demeo with a few friends on PC and VR. In the news, of course we’ll be saving the Dead by Daylight Dating Sim for when Jocelyn returns, but we also discuss the delay of Starfield and Redfall from Bethesda into 2023.
